Bílý Potok

Bílý potok is located in Frýdlantský výběžek, near Hejnice.

Bílý Potok is the first village in the Frýdlant region at the upper course of Smědá and is one of the highest located villages in this part of Jizerské hory. It was founded and settled by German colonists at the turn of the 17th century, so it ranks among the youngest villages in the Frýdlant regions. In the past most of its residents lived by woodcutting, which is documented by numerous monuments to wood workers in the area.

There are many typical mountain cottages in the village. Thanks to the location in Jizerské hory, Bílý Potok is currently a popular holiday resort and hiking and climbing centre.
