Fans of winter sports can visit excellent mountain resorts offering perfect slopes and cross country tracks including technical equipment for their operation. Most resorts have chairlifts, artificial snow, night skiing on lit slopes and additional services including rentals, refreshment or free parking. Conditions are suitable for experienced skiers as well as for beginners. There are ski lessons for young and adults, lead by qualified instructors in English and German.

The high quality of these resorts can be illustrated by the fact that many of them were chosen for prestige sports events (World Cup in Ski Jumps in Harrachov, Nordic World Ski Championship in Liberec etc.). Snowboarding can be practiced on usual slopes and in specialized and professional equipped snow parks. Some of them organize snowboard lessons for all age groups. The city tram in Liberec can bring you directly to the ski area Ještěd, the municipal busses to the cross country venue Vesec, a place of World Championship Liberec 2009. Jablonec nad Nisou offers a cross country area Břízky with a maintained ski track. These cities offer not only high quality skiing but also a wide range of other activities and events.
