Bohemian Paradise
Length of routh: 11,3 km
We start off on the red trail, on the last stage up the hill from Křížovka Creek stands 14 brick built Way of the Cross shrines with the iron sculptures. On the top of Tábor apart from the restaurant and the lookout tower, is also a small church - Lord's Trasfiguration. We are walking further on the blue trail to Allain Tower (Allainova vĕž) which was built by the prince Kamil Rohan as a memorial for his tragically died brother. The tower was used for admiration of the scenery. Today this neogothic structure stands neglected in the forest. We will walk still further on the blue trail. At the point where from the blue trail is starting the yellow trail, we have an opportunity to return to Lomnice the shorter way, or we can walk further up to the valley, and then steeply uphill on the green trail through the ruins of a castle Kozlov, to lengthen our journey. There is no information how and when the castle was built, and its end is dated in the period after the Hussite wars, when the local gentry ordered it to be demolished, because it became the base for the knights' robbers. From there, we will go back to Lomnice.
