The Functionalist rectangular five-storey building of the town hall is situated in the main and oldest square in Jablonec.
Its construction took place from 1931 to 1933 according to a design by Prof. Ing. arch. K. Winter. The decision to build a new town hall resulted from the need to replace the old hall with a building that would suit the local authorities better while enhancing the architecture of the centre of town. Therefore, from the very beginning the new town hall was conceived as a cultural centre with restaurants and a cinema. The tower of the town hall offering a panoramic view of the town is accessible in the summer.
