Since 2004, the month of May has regularly seen the Museum Nights Festival take place. The doors of museums remain open late into the night, offering their visitors experiences uncommon during the ordinary daylight visit, ranging from free entry to special events. A number of museums from our region participates in this festival; amongst regular participants are the following: the Museum of Glass and Jewelry of Jablonec nad Nisou, the Regional Museum of Mělník, the Civic Museum of Frýdlant, the Glasswork Museum of Nový Bor, the Civic Palace Templ of Mladá Boleslav, the Regional Museum Mladá Boleslav, the Škoda Auto Museum of Mladá Boleslav, the Loretan Chapel in Rumburk, the Ethnographic Museum of Vysoké nad Jizerou, the Museum of Český ráj in Turnov, the Glasswork Museum in Kamenický Šenov, the Museum of Diversional Discovery – iQpark, the Regional Gallery of Liberec, the Civic Museum Chrastava, the Ethnogrpahic Museum in Česká Lípa, the Krkonošské Museum Vrchlabí, the Museum of the Jizerské hory in Jizerka and others.
