The village was probably founded in the 13th century. At that time there used to be a wooden fortress which, according to architectonic findings, used to be a part of a defence line. During both world wars many locals fought against enemies and a memorial was built in memory of the fallen.

In the village you will find a well-known natural theatre in Buč. Other preserved monuments are timbered houses and a wooden bell tower, dating back to the middle of the 19th century.
