The first record of the village dates back to 1197. At the end of the 14th century Ronov Castle, the residence of one of the branches of the Dubá family, was built on a nearby hill. The notes on All Saints Castle, one of the oldest churches in Bohemia, also date to the 14th century.

As far as cultural monuments are concerned, there is the All Saints Church, chateau and its attached parts, St. Justin's Cemetery Chapel, statue of St. John of Nepomuk and statue of St. Anthony.
