Roprachtice is located around 3km south of Vysoké nad Jizerou and around 7km north-west of Jilemnice. It extends in beautiful hilly landscape in a valley of the Hrádecký potok below the Chlum and Farský hills.
The first record of the village dates back to 1352. A Baroque church, built in 1768, has been preserved in Roprachtice up to now.
Cyclists will find several cycle tracks criss-crossing the village neighbourhood. In winter, skiers may use the offer of winter resorts in Krkonoše. Several ski lifts are located near Vysoké and Jablonec nad Jizerou.
