The first record of Dolní Prysk dates back to 1382. Horní Prysk, located further to the east, was first mentioned in 1515.
As far as cultural monuments are concerned, there is St. Peter and Paul's Church in the village, a bell tower from 1680 and a memorial to the fallen in World War I in front of it. Moreover several rural houses have been preserved. Not far from the village, in a wood on the south-east slope of Břidličný vrch, there is Riedelova jeskyně, which was formed by underground mining of sandstone. North of the village there is Střední vrch, offering beautiful views of the surrounding region.
