Pertoltice is located around 8km north of Frýdlant v Čechách.

The village is divided into two parts - Dolní Pertoltice and Horní Pertoltice. The village foundation dates back to the beginning of the 14th century. As far as cultural monuments are concerned, one of them is the statue of St. John of Nepomuk. Allegedly, the statue prevented Swedish troops from destroying Pertoltice during the Thirty Years War. The single-aisle Church of St. Jost dates back to the Middle Ages. It is located behind the school building, in the cemetery.

Pertoltice is a good starting point for hiking and cycle excursions to Frýdlantský výběžek and neighbouring Poland. Nearby Jizerské hory are attractive for their beauties of nature and interesting sights.
