The first record of Okrouhlá dates back to 1546. In the 17th century glass foundries were set up in the village. Visitors interested in glassmaking may visit nearby museums in Nový Bor or Česká Kamenice. A Baroque Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows is situated in the place of an original wooden chapel. A local glass trader had it built in 1733.

The location of Okrouhlá invites visitors for walks in Lužické hory. Cyclists may try any of the cycle tracks going through the region. The ruins of castles in the environs of Nový Bor and the chateau in Česká Kamenice are also worth seeing.
