Loužnice extends in a valley of the brook of Kopaniny on the road from Turnov to Harrachov. It lies at the elevation of 475m. In historical sources the village is first mentioned in 1624.

From Loužnice you may set out on hiking and cycling trips in the surrounding region. Not far from there, to the east, there is the well-known Bozkovské jeskyně with lots of dripstones and cave formations. Lovers of skiing may visit nearby Harrachov and Rokytnice or use skiing services in Jizerské hory.
