The surrounding landscape will fascinate visitors with its peaceful nature and tourist attractions. Janovice is a good starting point for trips to Lužické hory. There is a wooded hill named Buková (468m) close to the village. West of the village, in the direction of Jablonné, the Castle and Chateau of Lemberk rise up, which used to be a lookout castle of an ancient commercial road leading from Prague to Žitava in the past. According to a legend, a 2.5-km-long underground passage leads from Lemberk to Jablonné v Podještědí.
