The oldest settlement of the area dates back to the Neolithic Age. The village landmark is St. Linhart's Church, surrounded by centuries-old trees. The church was a well-known pilgrimage site, visited by locals from the surrounding area together with their domestic animals. The tradition of pilgrimage in Hlavice has been preserved up to now; it is organized at the end of April every year.
