The village is mentioned first at the beginning of the 15th century when it belonged to Houska. Blatce also includes Blatečky. The two villages have a joint history. You will find several well-preserved houses in Blatečky, such as houses No. 12 and 13. Blatečky is also a starting point for trips to the neighbouring valley with sandstone rocks - Pohádkový důl, Kraví rokle or Italy, which are popular with climbers. West of the village above the road, there is a group of rocks called Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
