Pec pod Sněžkou is not only the starting point for hikes to the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, Mount Sněžka, but it is also popular for summer and winter sports. Pec pod Sněžkou takes advantage of its elevation - 800 metres above sea level. Mount Sněžka,- 1,602 m, is covered with snow for 5 - 6 months.
The ski resort in Pec pod Sněžkou is a popular place for families with children because you can choose any difficulty level, from moderate training slopes to challenging downhill slopes. Night skiing is available. There is a large snow park for snowboarders.
Cross-country skiing: The resort is a starting point to get to the cross-country arterial trail of the Krkonoše (the magistrála).
