The first mention of it dates back to 1267. It was originally a Romanesque chapel as is apparent from the rotund apse on the eastern side, which survived all later reconstructions and extensions. We must also mention that Byšičky even inspired the poet Karel Jaromír Erben to write the ballad The Wedding Shirts.
