On 2nd September 1997, two newly installed study rooms of Alois Jirásek and Eliška Krásnohorská, writers, were opened in the premises of the Staré Hrady chateau. Thus, together with Jaroslav Vrchlický's study room, installed as early as in 1974, an attractive tour of private interiors of the leading figures of classical Czech literature was created for visitors. The literary archive of the Museum of Czech Literature (PNP) is also located in the premises of the chateau.

Tours of the chateau and expositions with a guide are provided by PNP in cooperation with Osvětová beseda (The Public Enlightenment Organisation) of the Municipal Authority of Staré Hrady.
