It is possible to get a glimpse into the time before the Industrial Revolution in the Museum of Rural Life. Together with the windmill, the Museum makes up a part of the project called The Living Open-Air Folk Museum in Jindřichovice.

The Museum maps the historical development of the Frýdlant Region and Jindřichovice as regards geology, vegetation and civilisation. Furthermore, it depicts the current activities of the municipal authority in Jindřichovice, such as a wind power plant, heating plant operating on biomass or a recycling centre. Here you can find exhibits ranging from big machines to kitchenware, all accompanied with detailed descriptions of the purpose of their use.

The wind mill located there makes up a separate exposition and the tour of it also includes its putting into operation.

The Museum is located in a repaired historical farmhouse. The nature trail will lead visitors for example to wind power plants, the environmental and information centre and producers of local products.
