The Hrubý Rohozec Chateau belongs among the dominant elements and oldest building monuments of the Turnovsko region.

It was built in the 2nd half of the 13th century and since then rebuilt several times. It used to be the residence of the Vartenberk, Krajíř and Desfours noble families. At present, the Hrubý Rohozec Chateau is open to the public. The four-wing chateau offers twenty rooms with period furniture, paintings and other decorations from various artistic periods. Real treasures are the library with the portrait gallery showing the owners, and the neo-Gothic dining room - knights' hall. Visitors may admire local curiosities, the paintings called Allegory - the life of a male and Allegory - the life of a female.

In 2009 new premises were added to the tour around the chateau.

A part of the chateau is the adjacent park in English style. In addition to original interiors, visitors may visit expositions dealing with development of interiors and fashion during the last four centuries.

The chapel dedicated to the Holy Trinity is used for wedding ceremonies.
