The City Museum was opened to the general public in 1996. Its visitors may learn about the ancient as well as recent history of the city and its surroundings there.
As soon as upon coming to the entrance premises of the Museum, you may have a look at a mining truck made of iron, which was discovered close to the mining drifts between Chrastava and Bílý Kostel, or several restored Renaissance tombs. The Museum also includes a "minigallery" where expositions are changed on a regular basis.
Location: in the city centre, in the corner of the 1. máje Square.
