The Museum presents folk art and ethnographic expositions. We will find permanent expositions there covering the history of the Lomnice Region, Ethnography, Mineralogy, Zoology and the Monument of the Šlechta family; exhibitions and lectures are also given there.
The Museum in Lomnice nad popelkou was established in 1891. First, it was located in the Town Hall; later it was moved to its current seat, the building called Šlechtův Hrubý dům. Expositions are installed in the Museum's building, presenting the national history, technology of flax processing, and folk arts. The building also accommodates a picture gallery. Another exposition is installed in the preserved interiors dating back to the first half of the 19th century, informing visitors about the development of housing and housing culture from the 16th to 20th centuries.
