The Museum of Renewable Energy Sources

Jizera Mountains

The Mezivodí hydroelectric power plant and an exhibition of renewable energy sources With the motto: Electricity does not come from the socket

The interactive exhibitions are located in a building housing a functioning hydroelectric power station dating from 1907. They acquaint visitors with all types of renewable energy sources: water, wind, sun and biomass.

Visitors can try making electricity on a bicycle, release water to start a mill wheel turning, simulate lighting (using a bulb) and use photovoltaic phenomena to start a car on an electric car track.

The basic types of turbines (Banki, Francis, Pelton and Kaplan turbines) and generators are available in cross-sections with explanatory functional diagrams.

We are sure that visitors will benefit from visiting the museum, that it will provide them with an impetus to think about their own electricity consumption and that it will show in the future how demanding the path to the acquisition of “clean” electricity is.

We are looking forward to your visit: www.muzeumenergie.cz
